Gotta love this. I was idly reading the Register on Christmas Eve, waiting for noon so we could all go home, when I spotted the ultimate banner ad. Really, some things are beyond satire.....

Who the hell are you?
My name is Simon and I'm often rather snappish. Not least because it appears I'm older than I thought. I'm sure I was 25 the last time I checked, but my birth certificate claims otherwise. I live in Reading. That's in England, not Pennsylvania (or Massachusetts). I drive a bright blue Mini Cooper S very fast. I love Iron Maiden, Die Toten Hosen, Rammstein and Marilyn Manson; I also love Kate Rusby, Carrie Newcomer, Blackmore's Night and Iris DeMent. I play a burgundy Rickenbacker 620 very loud through a Vox amp. I regret daily that I cannot eat breakfast at Marcy's Diner, 47 Oak Street, Portland, Maine. I have eight tattoos, hair dyed blacker than the soul of George W. Bush and an unrequited desire to move to Berlin. My heroes are Steve Earle and Henry Rollins. I love mafia movies and chick flicks and I'm married to an incredibly cool, beautiful American girl who no longer lives a very long way away. No, we're never having kids, so don't ask. Until very recently my rabbit had me wrapped around his paw. I'm a thoroughly perplexed now ex-Middlesbrough season ticket holder, I love rugby league and baseball and I can tell it's winter because the clocks are on GMT, it's cold and wet and Newcastle United are crap. I'm English by birth, British by nationality, Northern by the grace of God and my accent is much cooler than yours.
